Delete Account

Burn Account permanently deletes your FactLockCam identity. Use it from the app. Email support if you cannot open the device.

This page is the public account-deletion URL for FactLockCam (Android package com.factlockcam.app, iOS com.factlockcam.ios). Deletion is in-app. There is no browser form that burns an account.

How to delete your account

  1. Open FactLockCam and sign in with the email you want removed.
  2. Go to Account & Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account. The next screen is titled Burn Account.
  4. Read the warning, check the box that you understand the burn is irreversible, then type OBLITERATE and confirm.

That confirmation calls our perform_full_burn procedure and then wipes the on-device archive. You do not need to file a separate web request if the app is available.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in identity and profile.
  • Ledger and quota records tied to that account.
  • Leftover storage objects under your account prefix, if any remain.
  • The local archive on this device: sealed .seal files, SQLite metadata, keys, and the write-ahead journal.

A .factlock key backup made before Burn Account cannot restore that burned identity. You may sign in later with the same email only as a new account with an empty archive.

What we cannot reverse or revoke

  • Public Polygon transactions that already published a manifest hash. Those rows do not include your email, filename, or media bytes, and a public chain record cannot be erased.
  • .flcproof packages or certificate PDFs you already shared. Those copies live with the people you sent them to. We cannot remotely revoke them.

Lock Archive is not account deletion. Lock removes keys from this device and leaves local sealed files and the server account in place. Import a current .factlock file to unlock again. Only Burn Account deletes the account.

If you cannot open the app

Email [email protected] from the same address you used to sign in. Include the account email and, if you know it, the app package (com.factlockcam.app on Android). Do not send encryption keys, OTP codes, or package passwords. We will walk you through Burn Account or complete the server-side perform_full_burn path for that identity.

Sealed photos and videos stay on the device. If the app is already uninstalled, the operating system has usually already removed the local archive. Server identity, ledger, and quota rows still need Burn Account or a support-assisted burn.
